Air conditioning/Climate control....for our climate & yours
Air conditioning is not just about the conditioning unit - imagine how your car would operate without the exhaust system, the radiator or even a simple fan belt. Well the ducting system for your air conditioner is just as important. The type of ducting and outlets installed with your air-conditioner affect the efficiency of your system.
Different ducts from different manufacturers use different insulation materials and, as with the insulation of walls and ceilings in your home, the ‘R' Rating is the only comparative measurement that you can use to know which ducts are more effective at keeping the ‘air-conditioned air' cool, while keeping the ‘hot roof air' out.
Not all ducting complies with building codes. As local climate conditions vary based on geography and weather patterns, so too do Government Building regulations need to vary to reflect these local climate changes.
Cheaper plastic imported fittings can warp, crack and break causing ducting failure, and costing you more in the long term. Ductair recommends and manufactures only metal ducting fittings, which, like most air-conditioners - are made of steel.
Some ducting systems leak their cooled air, some systems are poorly designed, some are noisy, and some warranties are inadequate; Ductair ...read more
