Build green with recycled concrete - Green Star Concrete
Every day demolished buildings, driveways, swimming pools, etc, produce masses of waste concrete which in the past would have ended up in a rubbish dump. Today this waste product can be collected by Green Star Concrete and recycled.

With growing awareness of the environment the construction industry, which has to-date contributed approx 40% of carbon emissions, is under pressure to be less wasteful, more energy efficient and reduce impact on the environment. Green Star Concrete is able to assist builders, developers, contractors and Government Departments in complying with the Green Star environmental rating system developed by the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA).
Green Star Concrete also uses cement from Adelaide Brighton Cement; which is manufactured using recycled demolition waste and used as an alternate fuel source, reducing fossil fuel requirements by 15%.
Green Star Concrete is the first concrete company in South Australia to maximize the use of recycled aggregates and sands in the supply and manufacture of concrete. Recycled aggregates and sands are manufactured from clean concrete, sourced from construction and demolition waste streams. By using recycled aggregates Green Star Concrete are diverting a valuable resource away from landfill and also sustaining the life of finite quarry reserves.

Green Star Concrete operates state-of-the-art, purpose built batching plants which are capable of supplying concrete into the Adelaide Metropolitan area and across South Australia's regional and remote areas.
Green Star Concrete have supplied a number of housing projects through out Adelaide, using specialized concrete mixes containing over 55% recycled aggregates produced at their Wingfield facility.
Green Star Concrete has worked on several specialized architectural projects where high strength concrete was specified.
Green Star Concrete were a supplier to the Master Builders Charity house in Blackwood, where 100% recycled aggregates were used in conjunction with other suppliers to obtain a 8-Star energy rating.
